Who we are

Allcliff Limited, trading as Allcliff Advisory, is the controller of personal information described in this notice. Allcliff Limited is registered in England and Wales under company number 17204270. Its registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ.

You can contact us about privacy at info@allcliff.com.

Information we use

The information we receive depends on your relationship with us. It may include:

  • your name, contact details, role and communication preferences;
  • messages, meeting notes and information you choose to provide about a property matter;
  • property, ownership, transaction and professional-adviser information;
  • identity, beneficial ownership, source of funds or source of wealth information where checks are required;
  • contract, invoice and payment records relating to our own fees; and
  • records needed to manage conflicts, complaints, legal obligations or security.

Please do not send sensitive identity or financial documents through an unsecured message unless we have agreed an appropriate way to receive them.

Why we use it

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, assess whether we can accept an instruction, provide and administer our services, coordinate appointed professionals, keep business and financial records, protect our legal rights, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

Depending on the circumstances, our lawful basis may be taking steps before entering into a contract, performing a contract, complying with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests in operating and protecting a professional advisory business. Where the law requires consent, we will ask for it separately.

Who we share it with

We share information only where there is a reason to do so. Recipients may include professionals and suppliers involved in your matter, identity or compliance providers, our own legal, accounting, insurance and technology providers, and public authorities where disclosure is required by law.

We do not sell personal information. We do not disclose information about a client matter to another professional without authority, unless the law requires or permits us to do so.

International services

If you contact us through WhatsApp, LinkedIn or another third-party service, that provider processes information under its own privacy terms and may transfer information outside the United Kingdom. Where Allcliff arranges an international transfer itself, we will use an appropriate lawful safeguard where one is required.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records only for as long as they remain useful and ordinarily no longer than 24 months if no instruction follows. Client, transaction, accounting and compliance records are kept for the period required by law, our insurers and the needs of the matter. This will often be at least five years after the relationship ends and may be longer where a legal claim, property record or other obligation requires it.

Retention periods are reviewed and information is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Subject to the law and any applicable exemption, you may ask us for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection to certain uses. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis on which information is used.

We may need to confirm your identity before responding. To exercise a right, email info@allcliff.com.
